Discovery Vitality Fitness Assessments

Running.png

The Vitality Fitness Assessment is measured in 3 parts – the first part measures your cardio-vascular fitness and the second measures your strength and flexibility and the third measures your body composition. After the Vitality Fitness Assessment we will give you detailed feedback on the areas to focus on so that you can become fitter and stronger.

Running Analysis

In the running analysis we analyse your running style (technique, foot placement, deviations, etc.).

We also analyse where you have a lack of movement (joint stiffness or muscle tightness) as well as where you lack control (joint hypermobility or muscle weakness).

With the information we collect from the analysis we design an exercise programme that suits your specific running goals and work on the problematic areas. We also advise you on the proper running technique to minimize injuries and focus on exercise specific drills according to your needs.

We prescribe exercises that increase their strength, walking ability, flexibility and improves their co-ordination. We also have an option for them to exercise in groups that improve their social interaction and has a positive affect on their mood.

We work with children with specific needs (Autism, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Low muscle tone and co-ordination problems, etc.) by prescribing specific exercises to improve their quality of life and to teach them about the importance of physical activity and how to have fun while exercising. This helps the children with their development, their social interaction as well as following specific instructions.
